Lancer RPG: Gundam Wing

preview.jpg

Lancer is a mech-based RPG that allows for a high level of customization. I REALLY like the system, partly because it’s not trying to realistically model a mech. The system isn’t bogged down with too many small concepts, but there’s still a ton of ways to build and play your mech. For example, building a melee focused mech is not only perfectly viable, but common!

As I often do when I play a new system, I started wondering what else the system could handle. Gundam Wing was the first gundam show I watched as a kid, and influenced the type of mech shows I liked. So I decided to put gundams in Lancer!

In Lancer, you have Licenses to different companies. Each company has multiple lines of frames (aka mechs). As your license level increases, you can increase you license with specific lines of frames, gaining new weapons, systems, and even frames.

I decided to create a Gundam company, using the Gundam Wing gundams as the individual frames. This is my first pass at designing in Lancer, so let me know what you think! And check out Lancer here!
